Brooke has long returned to imagery of the sun and its celestial rhythms to invigorate her jewellery, ground her making practice, and bring delight through palettes of vivid rainbow colour.

"Growing up near the beach I would see how the sun’s movements would change the colour of the sky and allow me to have a sense of place and time. The sun is a great symbol of positivity and energy."

Brooke’s fascination with light and the cosmos also finds resonance in the work of artist Peter Max, whose exuberant cosmic art is another source of inspiration for the Supernova collection. Max’s celebrations of celestial forms and saturated colour create a world imbued with optimism.
