Rosecut Morganite Gemstones in the Studio

The Quiet Strength in Morganite

Wearing morganite is believed to open the heart to divine love, soothe emotional trauma and nurture deep compassion. This pastel pink gemstone connects closely with the spiritual self, encouraging inner peace, and greater awareness. Despite its gentle hue, morganite is a strong and amplifying stone, which is why I have chosen to use it within my Talisman collection.

A striking example of the stone sits within the Talisman Shield Morganite Engraved Necklace beaming from a frame of hand engraved 18k gold and white diamond pavé detail. This necklace was made for the women who inspire my work: women whose strength does not require announcement, whose kind-heartedness is a source of power, and whose lightness should not be mistaken for fragility.

I was recently reminded of the women of Valley of the Dolls, and became drawn to the tension between their immaculate, feminine worlds and the extraordinary strength required to survive within them. The story captures a particular vision of womanhood: beautifully dressed, highly polished and seemingly delicate, while underneath the surface are ambition, desire, resilience and vulnerability.

As proven by the Talisman Shield Necklace, gentleness and luminosity are forms of armour. Sometimes the strongest things are those that seem most delicate.
